News Release

Office of Representative Markwayne Mullin (R-OK-2)

Congressman Markwayne Mullin (R-OK-2) released the following statement after President Trump delivered the State of the Union address:

“President Trump offered our nation a path forward, a chance to work together to accomplish great things for the American people,” said Mullin.  “His plans to fix our broken immigration system, secure our southern border, rebuild crumbling infrastructure, lower health care costs, and protect our national security are well within reach if Washington is willing to come to the table.  There isn’t a single thing in this plan that people should think is divisive.

“Our country is unique because at the end of the day, what unites us will always be greater than what divides us,” continued Mullin.  “I look forward to working with Congress to accomplish the president’s agenda and hope that my colleagues across the aisle stand ready to do the same.  After all, we should all be able to agree that America is a place we are proud to call home.  We do that by putting the American people first.”
