Cherokee potter will share history ancient of Southeastern/Mississippian pottery following the meeting

Rogers County Cherokee Association

Rogers County Cherokee Association (RCCA) will meet on Sunday February 10, 2019 at 2 p.m. for their regularly scheduled monthly meeting.

The February RCCA meeting meal will be hosted by Sandee McClure. Following the business meeting, Cherokee potter, Crystal Hannah will share the history of ancient Southeastern/Mississippian pottery techniques and designs. There will also be an opportunity for hands-on learning of pottery making.

Crystal Hannah is a registered member of Cherokee Nation and completed a pottery Apprenticeship in 1998 with Cherokee National Treasure, Anna Mitchell (deceased). Ms. Hannah has been juried into the Santa Fe Indian Art Market for the past 17 years.

She also does pottery workshops for the American Indian Resource Center, thru the Tulsa public library as well as many other school and museum organizations.
