March 2019 Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino community breakfast raises $8,062.04 for United Cerebral Palsy

Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino recently hosted its monthly community breakfast and presented a check for $8,062.04 to United Cerebral Palsy (UCP). United Cerebral Palsy and its 64 affiliates share a mission to advance the independence, productivity, and full citizenship of people with cerebral palsy, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and other conditions. The United Cerebral Palsy network of affiliates provides services and support to more than 176,000 children and adults.

More than 500 people attended the fundraising breakfast. A total of $4,031.02 was raised at the door and Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino and the Santa Rosa Rancheria Tribe matched the amount bringing the grand total of the donation to $8,062.04. Norma Cortes, Assistant Guest Service Manager, was on hand to present the check to United Cerebral Palsy Executive Director, Roger Slingerman.

“We are so grateful to Tachi Palace for giving us this incredible opportunity,” said Slingerman. “At United Cerebral Palsy we believe all individuals with disabilities should ‘live without limits.’ Our stimulating programs serve people of all ages with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, traumatic brain injuries, and developmental and intellectual disabilities.”

The money raised will assist in serving over 1,100 individuals with disabilities and their families throughout the Central Valley.

The next community breakfast will be held on Friday, April 26, and will benefit the Central Section California Interscholastic Federation.

Tachi Palace hosts a monthly community breakfast that features a breakfast buffet, informative community news, and business networking, as well as raffle prizes. Attendees are encouraged to make a minimum donation of $5 to attend the breakfast. All contributions benefit a featured organization. For more information, visit tachipalace.com.
