Around 11:20 p.m., a male steals a taxi in Joplin, and then leads officers on a short chase resulting in a crash. He then fled on foot. The suspect is in custody at this time.

Multiple vehicles were struck during the incident.

Joplin Police and Joplin Fire Department were on scene as well.
