Firefighters Battle Towsley Brush Fire in Santa Clarita

The Towsley fire erupted Tuesday during high wind warnings in Santa Clarita.

Santa Clarita: A brush fire erupted during high winds warnings in Santa Clarita on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, in Towsley Canyon. Los Angeles County Fire Department, Los Angeles City Fire Department along with Ventura County Fire worked together to battle the brush fire. At around 8:30 p.m. via Twitter, L.A. County Fire Department updated the status of the fire - The fire stands at approximately 167 acres with 10% containment. 300 firefighters remain at the scene including LA County Fire Air Ops water dropping helicopters. No reported injuries. No structures threatened.
