Injured Hiker in Fryman Canyon Park Transported by Helicopter to Trauma Center

A male hiker was seriously injured in a fall from a rope swing near the Betty B. Dearing Trail.

Los Angeles: At 11:25 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, LAFD air and ground crews responded to assist an adult male hiker who had been seriously injured in a fall from a rope swing near the Betty B. Dearing Trail in Fryman Canyon Park located in the Studio City/Hollywood Hills area.

According to LAFD, a LAFD Flight Paramedic was lowered from a LAFD hovering helicopter to provide immediate care and stabilize the patient, and worked with LAFD ground responders to prepare the patient to be hoisted into the helicopter and be transported directly to an area trauma center.
