Homeless encampment burned dangerously close to a library Tuesday morning in North Hollywood.

A homeless encampment burned dangerously close to a library early Tuesday morning in North Hollywood. LAFD was able to extinguish a homeless encampment fire which burned behind the Valley Plaza Branch Library located at 12311 Vanowen Street. No one was seen near the back of the library or around the encampment at the time of the fire. It is unknown how the fire started. Firefighters achieved knockdown in approximately 10 minutes.
