Santa Monica Motor Officer Injured in DTLA Collision

A Santa Monica Police motor officer was injured in an early morning collision on DTLA freeway interchange.

Los Angeles: A Santa Monica Police motor officer was injured in a collision at approximately 5:18 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, on the Northbound 101 to the Southbound 110 interchange in downtown Los Angeles. The officer was navigating the transition road when a crash occurred with his motorcycle. It is unknown at this time, if the officer lost control or was struck by a motorist. CHP Central Division is handling the investigation, and will have information regarding the crash pending the investigation. The Los Angeles Fire Department transported the motor officer in stable condition to a local area hospital due to the mechanism of injury involved.
