Burbank: At approximately 9 p.m. Sunday, Mar. 28, 2021, Burbank Police and Fire Departments responded to a 3-vehicle traffic collision with one vehicle that struck Porto's Bakery and Cafe at Magnolia Boulevard and Hollywood Way. Firefighters cut off both driver side doors to remove the driver who was complaining of leg pain and was suffering a possible broken leg. Paramedics transported the driver of the SUV to County USC Hospital in stable condition. According to the driver of the red sedan, the SUV rear ended him two blocks west of the intersection, and fled the scene. The driver of the red sedan said he pursued the SUV until Hollywood Way and Magnolia, where the SUV struck a silver sedan driving southbound on Hollywood Way and ended up crashing into Porto's and becoming wedged between a fire hydrant and the building. The drivers of both sedans involved had minor complaints of pain but did not require transportation to the hospital. Police are looking into the possibility of whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident. LA County Building and Safety was requested to evaluate the damage to the building.
