2 Hospitalized After Serious Accident Traps Driver, Sends One Car Through Fence

A serious crash left one driver trapped in their car on Sunday night in North Amityville, New York.

A serious crash hospitalized two drivers, and trapped one driver, forcing them to fight their way out of the vehicle. On Sunday night at approximately 8:26 p.m., the North Amityville Fire Department and Suffolk County Police Department responded to the intersection of Columbia Avenue and Offaly Street in North Amityville, New York, for a serious car accident.

The accident involved two cars that collided in the intersection at a moderate rate of speed. One vehicle ended up crashing through a fence of a residence near the intersection.

The dramatic accident drew a large crowd of concerned residents from the surrounding houses.

The intersection is now reopened to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
