After failing to pull over, a driver leads police and deputies on a pursuit that ends with the vehicle spike stripped.

On Sunday, June 2, 2019, at or around 3:00 a.m., a vehicle failed to comply and pull over to a Dutchess County Sheriff Deputy who was attempting to make a traffic stop. The car fled taking authorities on a high-speed chase, reaching speeds of 100mph and nearly colliding with a Hyde Park Police unit according to radio traffic. Authorities have not yet confirmed if the car was stolen.

The pursuit concluded with a spike strip being deployed and the vehicle stopping at 98 East Market Street (Golden Apartments). Responding agencies include the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, New York State Police, and Town of Hyde Park Police.

We will update this as the story progresses.
