Fire Destroys 3-Story Residence in Orange County

Blaze destroys 3-story residence, leaves at least one family displaced.

On Saturday, June 22, 2019 at or around 9:15 p.m., a fire broke out in a three story residential structure in the City of Middletown. Upon arrival, fire officials upgraded the fire to a two-alarm structure fire. Orange County Fire Investigations is investigating the cause of the fire. Fire officials were not available on the scene for comment.

At lease one patient suffered minor injuries. It is unclear if this person had an affiliation with the City of Middletown Fire Department or if he was a resident. Mobile Life Support Services treated the patient at the scene before transporting him to a local hospital.

Responding agencies include the City of Middletown Fire Department, the City of Middletown Police, Town of Wallkill Police, and Mobile Life Support Services.
