Family holds candlelight vigil for teen who was stabbed to death during a fight over a girl earlier this week.

Hundreds gathered in the parking lot of 2822 Brower Avenue earlier Wednesday evening in Oceanside, New York, to remember 16-year-old Khaseen Morris.

A fight on Monday involving 60-70 teenagers, resulted in the death of Khaseen Morris, who was stabbed in the chest. The attack, which appeared to be targeted, left Morris bleeding to death on the ground of the strip mall. The attacker, Tyler Fletch, 18, of Lido Beach, was arrested earlier Wednesday. His arraignment will be Thursday, where he will face a murder charge.

A heavy police presence was seen at the vigil due to threats that were made on social media, but the vigil continued on and went without incident.

Khaseen Morris, described as 'kind-hearted' and 'sweet' by friends and family, was remembered on the spot that he was attacked. Hundreds crowded the parking lot on Brower Avenue to light candles and mourn together the death of a teenager who impacted the community, and many lives.
