Quick Action of Fire Department Saves Barn from Potential Structure Fire

Firefighters quickly knockdown a small barn fire that could have resulted in a structure fire in Accord, New York.

On Friday, May 20, 2019 at 7:15 p.m., a small fire occurred inside a large barn at 151 Lower Whitfield Road in Accord, New York.

Accord Fire Department was on-scene and quickly put a stop to the fire. Vents were established on the left side of the structure. Firefighters could be seen cutting into the roof to establish these points.

It is unclear as to what started the fire at this time. No injuries have been reported and the structure suffered only minor damage as a result of the fire. Accord Fire Department was on-scene as well as Troopers from the New York State Police.
