Raging Garage Fire on Long Island Possibly Fueled by Fireworks

A raging garage fire that took place early Friday morning is being investigated by the Suffolk County Police Arson Squad

The Suffolk County Police Department Arson Squad is currently investigating a fire that left a garage burnt and totaled late Thursday night. Firefighters responded to Jefferson Street in East Farmingdale, New York, for multiple 911 calls just before 12:30 a.m. about a fully involved detached garage fire on the end of the street.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the garage fully engulfed in flames. After the fire was extinguished, the structure was completely burnt and barely standing.

The house on the same property as the garage suffered from heat damage to the exterior as a result of the massive amount of heat emitting from the large fire.

The Suffolk County Police Arson Squad is now investigating the scene on Jefferson Street, where fireworks may have potentially been a cause in this raging fire.
