Rush Hour Crash Shuts Down Route 110, Hospitalizes One Motorist

A motorist was hospitalized after a car accident in East Farmingdale, New York, Southbound on Route 110.

At approximately 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday evening, East Farmingdale Fire Department and Suffolk County Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Route 110 Southbound, near the intersection of Price Parkway. All southbound lanes were shut down of Route 110 at Price Parkway to control the scene.

At least one person was transported to the hospital by an ambulance after the serious accident.

The Black Jeep, which was feet away from dropping into a nearby parking lot that was below the street level, took substantial amounts of damage.

Route 110 is now reopened completely without any delays due to the accident. The cause of the accident is still undetermined.
