This is the second homicide in this neighborhood in the past week. Police were called out to the Westway Community Center back on April 20th for a shooting that took the life of 19- year-old Damien Helmbrecht.

Towards the end of 2019 on December 22nd Federal Way Police were called to the to the 33400 block of 23rd Street Southwest where they found 19-year-old Luis Delacerda shot with fatal injuries in his vehicle. Delacerda died while being transported to Harborview Medical Center.
