ATF Violent Crimes Task Force Recover Drugs, Guns, Body Armor During Arrest

A multi-convicted felon was taken into custody by the ATF after being suspected of selling stolen firearm.

King County, WA: On Wednesday, November 6, 2019, the ATF Violent Crimes Task Force (which includes King County Sheriff's Office) arrested a 39-year-old man, a multi-time convicted felon, who is suspected of illegally selling stolen firearms taken in a burglary of a Tacoma gun store in August.

24 handguns were stolen in the burglary, one of which was found in a search of the Covington residence where the arrest took place.

In addition to that pistol, 13 other weapons were seized – including assault-style rifles and pistols.

Other items recovered include:

179 grams of Xanax, 87.1 grams methamphetamine, 157.6 grams heroin, body armor, and $7,290 in cash.

A 32-year-old male, who had an outstanding DOC warrant, was also arrested at the home.

The Violent Crimes Task Force includes the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the King County Sheriff’s Office (KSCO), Department of Corrections (DOC). The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) also assisted.
