Boarded-Up Home Goes Up in Flames in Near Auburn Way

A boarded up vacant home bursts into flames this afternoon along M Street Northeast in Auburn.

Auburn, WA: Just after 2 p.m., crews with Valley Regional Fire Authority received calls of a residential structure fire in the 600 block of M Street Northeast. When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the two story structure.

The home appears to be vacant and windows are boarded up.

Crews are actively trying to put out the fire.

Valley Regional Fire has tweeted out that they are fighting this fire from the outside as the roof is not sound enough to enter the structure.

Crews are also actively monitoring the perimeter of to make sure the fire does not spread to surrounding trees.
