Convenience Store Robbery Turns Deadly in Lakewood

A beloved convenience store worker is dead after being stabbed multiple times in an apparent robbery in Lakewood.

Lakewood, WA: Lakewood Police are looking for help identifying the suspect in a robbery attempt that took the life of beloved 59-year-old In Choe.

Just after 10 p.m. last night, police responded to a report of a person not breathing at the McCord Mart located 5100 Solberg Drive Southwest. Officers arrived and located the clerk unresponsive and bleeding from multiple stab wounds. The female was rushed to an area trauma center where she was pronounced deceased.

Video surveillance revealed the victim was stabbed several times during a robbery. The suspect appears to be a black male in his 20's or 30's wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans, white shoes and a dark hat under the hooded sweatshirt. The sweatshirt has a distinct "Disobey" brand logo on the back that someone may recognize.

There is no information on a suspect vehicle and the suspect was seen fleeing the scene on foot in a northbound direction towards Bridgeport Way Southwest.
