Crews Battle Heavy Flames and Smoke During Issaquah House Fire

Crews battled Tuesday morning fire that consumed the second floor of this home along Northwest Dogwood Street.

Issaquah, WA: At around 10:30 a.m., crews with Eastside Fire and Rescue received reports of a residential structure fire in the in 100 block of Northwest Dogwood Street in Issaquah.

According to Eastside Fire's Public Information Officer, when crews arrived they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the second floor of the home and immediately upgraded the call to a working fire assignment.

Crews performed a transitional attack and were able to knock down the flames quickly. A transitional attack is where the fire department will start spraying water on the visible fire while crews gear up to head into the home to extinguish the flames.

Crews are currently working to put out any remaining hot spots.

No injuries are reported at this time. Streets are closed in the area so plan accordingly.

Unknown what started this blaze but fire investigators are on the scene to determine that.
