Deputies Surround Auburn Home After Reported Shooting

Sheriff Deputies surround Auburn home after a reported disturbance and shooting inside the home

Auburn, WA: Just after midnight emergency dispatchers received a call from a residence in the 36200 block of Military Road South in unincorporated Auburn. Initial reports indicated one male had shot another inside the home.

Deputies waited until they had enough personnel onscene to move in to secure the home for paramedics to come in to render aid to the reported injured male.

Due to the geographical location it took Deputies longer to get units onscene and in turn took longer for paramedics to get to a possible patient. For that reason crews put a Airlift Northwest helicopter on standby to potentially fly the patient to Seattle.

Once enough Deputies arrived onscene they were seen advancing on the home with Rifles and Pistols drawn. They used spotlights and emergency lights to illuminate the home while utilizing a PA system to call the residents out at gunpoint.

When the resident exited the home Deputies only found one elderly female who appeared to have been sleeping and no signs of anyone else in the home. No victim was found and Deputies are continuing to investigate who called 911.
