Tacoma, WA: Washington State Patrol is trying to piece together what provoked a driver to start shooting at a semi-truck following a collision on the on-ramp to southbound Interstate 5 from the Port of Tacoma.
This all went down just before 5 p.m. when a sedan and semi-truck were merging onto southbound Interstate 5 from the Port when for unknown reasons there was a collision. Troopers state that the semi rear ended the driver of the sedan. They both pulled over and the driver of the sedan exited their vehicle with a firearm and started shooting.
Several casing and bullet holes were found on the semi itself. Thankfully no one was injured somehow.
The driver of the sedan was taken into custody without incident and being investigated for the shooting and possible impairment.
According to Washington State Patrol, the shooter did have an expired concealed pistols license in the state of Washington.
Investigation is ongoing.
