Driver Life Flighted After Head On Collision with Garbage Truck in Lewis County

Crews had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate a driver who was then flown by helicopter to a Seattle Trauma Center

Lewis County, WA: State Route 6 in Lewis County was closed at the Chehalis River Bridge for a serious injury head on collision involving a sedan and a garbage truck.

Crews had to cut the roof off the vehicle and use the Jaws of Life to extricate the 19 year old driver in the sedan.

The condition of the driver is unknown at this time but he was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle by LifeFlight.

Washington State Patrol is investigating.
