Driver Transported Following Possible Use of Force Incident During Traffic Stop

A driver was transported to a hospital after a use of force incident following a traffic stop by Washington State Patrol

Kent, WA: Kent Police were dispatched to assist Washington State Patrol on a traffic stop in the 2500 block of S 272nd Street who requested a priory response and a supervisor.

While in route, Washington State Patrol requested the Fire Department to respond due to a use of force.

Upon arrival, Kent Police reported a male on the ground in handcuffs shaking violently.

Puget Sound Fire responded, evaluated the subject, and he was transported by private ambulance to a local hospital in unknown condition.

Washington State Patrol deployed a K9 unit around the vehicle and got a positive indication for narcotics.

Washington State Patrol impounded the vehicle and transported the passenger from the scene.

We've contacted the Washington State Patrol district two Public Information Officer, we are awaiting further information.
