Kent, WA: At 7:45 p.m. crews from Puget Sound Fire Authority were dispatched to a reported entrapment crash near the intersection of 104th Avenue SE and 236th Place SE. When crews arrived, they found a single vehicle with major damage with the driver still inside. Firefighters used hand tools and were able to quickly get the male teen driver out and loaded into an ambulance for treatment. At this time it appears that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck a light pole. Kent Police Officers on location tell us the crash is under investigation, but speed is definitely a factor in this crash.
