Firefighters Save Woman and Dog from Enumclaw House Fire

Victim brought back to life after being rescued from her burning home this afternoon.

Enumclaw, WA: Today around 1:50 p.m., crews from Enumclaw Fire responded to reports of a house fire in the 700 block of Myrtine Steet.

While crews were responding, dispatchers advised over the radio that 911 call takers had an elderly female in the house on the phone still attempting to find a way out of the house, but she was unable to find one.

As the first engine from Emunclaw Fire arrived, they were advised over the radio that police were on scene confirming that there was a victim still trapped in the house that was visibly on fire.

Firefighters rapidly went into rescue mode and were able to find the trapped victim in the house; she was removed by firefighters who started CPR. She was transported by King County Medic One Paramedics in unknown condition to Harborview.

City of Enumclaw Fire Investigators are on scene at this time. Sources tell us that the fire might have started in a heater unit within the house but this is not confirmed as of yet.
