Hit-and-Run Crash Snarls Morning Commute in Renton

WSP states that a driver that did not cause the crash fled the injury collision on SR-167 near 180th.

Renton, WA: Washington State Patrol closed all lanes of northbound SR-167 near 180th this morning as they investigated a collision where one driver left and the other suffered a potential broken wrist.

State Patrol states that the non-causing driver of this collision took off on foot for unknown reasons and they are still trying to track them down.

For most of the morning this collision was blocking the HOV and one other lane and traffic was able to get by but not before causing major backups for the morning rush.

State Patrol did have to shut all the northbound lanes down for about 30 minutes while the collision detectives used a UAV to map the scene.

All lanes have since reopened.
