Home Erupts into Flames in Seattle's International District

When firefighters arrived, they found the home fully involved with flames showing on all sides.

Seattle, WA: Just after 2:15 a.m., Seattle Fire crews were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in the 1200 block of South Lane Street in Seattle's International District.

When crews arrived, they found a multiple story home just feet from the Child Care Resource building with heavy smoke and flames showing from all sides.

Firefighters believed the home to be abandoned and initiated a defensive attack with exposure protection the priority.

Crews were able to knock down the flames within 30 minutes.

Due to the state of the building and how damaging the fire was, it is not known if it was occupied.

At this time, no known injuries reported.
