Homeowner Escapes Injury in Fast Moving House Fire in Tacoma This Evening


Firefighters arrived quickly and were able to keep a majority of the fire contained to the exterior.

Tacoma, WA: At around 8 p.m., Tacoma Fire started receiving several calls of a home in the 5400 black of North 10th Street with heavy smoke and flames coming from the front half of the home.

Crews arrived quickly and found the entire front half of the home fully engulfed in flames and initiated an offensive fire attack.

Thanks to the quick work of firefighters, the fire was contained mostly to the exterior with very little fire reaching inside the home.

Sadly, due to smoke and water damage, the home is no long able to be occupied. Assistance has been requested for the homeowner who was able to escape safely per Tacoma Fire Officials.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
