Jaws of Life Needed After Semi Truck Driver Partially Ejected and Pinned

Semi truck driver rolls truck making turn and is ejected out the cab and pinned underneath the passenger side

Frederickson, WA: Just after midnight crews with Graham Fire and Rescue responded to the intersection of Canyon Road East and 176th street east for reported semi truck rollover with the driver ejected and pinned under the passenger side of the semi.

When crews arrived they found a fully loaded semi tractor trailer on its' side and the driver was trapped by the arm between the roadway and the truck. Crews used heavy rescue lifting bags and the jaws of life to free the drivers arm.

The driver was freed in just under 10 minutes from the arrival of fire crews and immediately transported to a local trauma center in Tacoma with multiple significant injuries

A witness tell us it appears the driver was trying to make the light while turning left and appeared to be going to fast at the time of the accident.

Crews state the driver was hauling cases of water with a destination to a local unnamed store.
