One in Custody for Felony Assault After Stabbing Man in Tacoma

Tacoma Police state that the two men involved knew each other and a dispute ended in one stabbing the other in the arm.

Tacoma, WA: At around 7:30 p.m., Tacoma Police and Fire received a report of a male stabbed in the 6700 block of South Tyler in Southwest Tacoma. When crews arrived, they found a male suffering a stab wound to his arm. A tourniquet was applied to stop the bleeding and to stabilize the male.

That male was transported to Tacoma General with non-life-threatening injuries.

Through interviewing the victim, it was learned that this all possibly occurred in the 5500 block of South Burlington Way. There police had a 47-year-old male in custody.

Police state that the males appear to know each other and there is no threat to public safety and no suspect outstanding.

Tacoma Police state that male was taken into custody for Assault 1st Degree and a violation of a Domestic Violence No Contact Order. Police state that the No Contact Order was not with the male that was stabbed but someone else on the scene.
