Only Minor Injuries in Head-On Crash with Commercial Vehicle in Olympia

Jaws of Life used to free the driver of this mangled vehicle after it struck a commercial vehicle head-on.

Olympia, WA: Earlier this evening, crews with Olympia Fire Department were dispatched to a reported collision at the intersection of Black Lake Boulevard and Highway 101.

When crews arrived, they found a small sedan had collided head-on with a commercial vehicle.

The driver of the sedan was trapped in the vehicle due to the force of the collision and had to be freed with the Jaws of Life.

​Once the driver was extricated, they were transported to a local hospital with reported minor injuries.

Police are still investigating what caused this head-on collision.
