Overnight White Center House Fire Injures Several, Two Critically

Two females, one older and one middle-aged, were transported to Harborview with critical injuries.

White Center, WA: At around 1 a.m., crews with the Burien/Normandy Park Fire Department received a report of a residential structure fire in the 9600 block of 13th Avenue Southwest.

When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of the home and reports of people trapped inside. Crews upgraded the call to a confirmed working fire and immediately went into rescue mode.

Officials on the scene state that they treated four people escaped the home with one being rescued by the firefighters. Of those four, two were described as critical and rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment.

At this time, the condition of the patients is not known.

Cause of the fire is under investigation by the King County Sheriff's Department Fire Investigations Unit.
