Pilot in Training Flips Aircraft on Runway

Pilot training on new Fairchild aircraft overturns it on main runway in Auburn. No Injuries.

Auburn, WA: Around 6:30p.m. emergency crews with Valley Regional Fire Authority and Auburn Police responded to the Auburn Airfield for a reported airplane crash.

Upon arriving, they found a Fairchild single prop aircraft overturned on the main runway and the pilot outside the aircraft.

Per the fire department the pilot sustained no injuries. The fire department stated that the pilot recently purchased the aircraft and was conducting training at the time of the crash.

Emergency personnel advised they were dealing with a fuel leak on the runway but no complications arose from it.

The NTSB and FAA were notified of the incident.

The aircraft was righted and transported to the hanger until crews could investigate further.
