Tacoma, WA: On Sunday morning around 3 a.m., someone believed it would be a good idea to break all the front windows to Little Jerry's Diner.
The Diner, best know for its beloved Seinfeld Theme, is located in the 8200 block of South Park Avenue.
In a Facebook Post the Diner wrote:
"Someone broke all 3 of our main front windows and the old post office door.
We are going to be open today for TAKE OUT ORDERS ONLY. Our kitchen was untouched, but we don't feel comfortable having people dinning inside until we make sure we've gotten all the glass & deep clean."
Amazingly the community saw the post and without asking neighbors stepped in to help.
Tacoma Police state they respond at 2:17 a.m. for a security check and found the windows broken. They state no entry was made to the business.
At the time they were unable to contact the owner so officers had the windows boarded up.
Police are trying to see if a suspect arrested for breaking out windows at a church is responsible for breaking out these windows. Tacoma Police state a 19-year-old unidentified male was contacted in the 8400 block of South G Street on suspicious of breaking the windows of Good Samaritan Church at around 11:20 p.m.
That male, identified as John Doe, was arrested for vandalism. Police are trying to determine if he is responsible for the vandalism at Little Jerry's. Police are trying to see if there was surveillance in the area that could have captured both incidents.
According to the Diner's social media, they will be back fully open on Tuesday.
