Possible Medical Emergency Leads to Major Impact Crash in Federal Way

The male driver potentially suffered a medical emergency just prior to leaving the roadway and striking the tree.

Federal Way, WA: At around 1 p.m., crews with South King Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a reported one vehicle collision in the 1000 block of South 320th. The initial reports stated it was a one vehicle possible rollover collision.

When crews arrived, they found a Ford pickup truck with major front end damage blocking the eastbound lanes just outside the Federal Way Public Library. Crews upgraded the severity of the call and requested King County Medic One for the driver.

The male driver was evaluated and transported to an area hospital.

At this time, it is believed the driver suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel and his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Traffic is backed up in the area as Federal Way Police investigates.
