Reports of a Shooting at Popular Theme Park Injures One During "Fright Fest"

A reported shooting leaves one injured and caused panic of an active shooter during fright fest at Wild Waves Theme Park

Federal Way, WA: At around 11 p.m., numerous law enforcement officers and medics responded to Wild Waves Enchanted Theme Park for a reported shooting. When they arrived they found one victim down in the parking lot with a possible gunshot wound injury. That person was transported from the scene to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in unknown condition.

Several evidence markers could be seen outside the main entrance to the theme park in the parking lot while police investigated the circumstances.

During the time of the incident, the park was filled with customers for their annual fright fest that is put on every year with several haunted houses. We heard from Skyler Meek, a haunted house actor at the park, who describes what he heard and his reaction.

Federal Way Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Hope to have a statement from them in the near future
