Shots Fired Leads to Pursuit That Ends in Violent Crash Near Tukwila

King County Deputies pursued a stolen vehicle after witnessing the occupants commit a shooting in Tukwila.

Tukwila, WA: Just before 9:30 p.m., a King County Sheriff's Deputy was patrolling in the area of S 144th Street and Military Road South when they observed a subject fire several shots out of a dark colored vehicle.

The Deputy advised that they had shots fired at their location and attempted to stop the vehicle that was firing the shots. That vehicle took off and the Deputy initiated a pursuit in an attempt to stop the suspect.

According to the King County Sheriff Public Information Officer the suspect was pursued to S 112th Street and Tukwila International Boulevard where the pursuit came to a violent end when the suspect crashed into an unoccupied semi-truck.

Per King County Sheriff's Office, the driver of the suspect vehicle sustained significant injuries and was transported from the scene by paramedics to an area trauma center. A passenger in the suspect vehicle also sustained injuries and was transported from the scene by private ambulance to an area hospital.

At this time, the Public Information Officer did not know if a weapon was recovered in the vehicle but did advise the vehicle was reported stolen. They also advised that no one was injured in the witnessed shooting.

King County Sheriff's M.A.R.R (Major Accident Response and Reconstruction) Detectives are on the scene investigating the collision.
