Detectives are hoping someone will come forward with information as to why this man was killed in the streets of Tacoma.

Tacoma, WA: Just before 11:30 p.m., Tacoma Police received reports of a possible shooting in the 300 block of East 26th Street just behind the Tacoma Dome. When officers arrived, they found a male down in the middle of the roadway suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers immediately started first aid and CPR on the male in the roadway who had been shot.

Medics with Tacoma Fire arrived and continued life-saving efforts on the man.

Sadly, the man died at the scene.

Tacoma Police do not believe at this time that this shooting is related to other shootings in this area and say it is too early to tell if this is gang related.

As of right now, Tacoma Police Detectives are seeking witnesses and information to this cold blooded killing.

Police have identified the victim as 36-year-old convicted child molester Raymond Serrano. Serrano was recently featured on Washington’s Most Wanted for having an escape community custody warrant for violation of probation on his child molestation conviction from the Department of Corrections. Serrano was being hunted by the U.S. Marshals Northwest Violent Offender Task Force and was a Top Ten Most Wanted fugitives.

If you have or know anyone with information you are urged to contact the Tacoma Police Department.
