Take Out Service Interrupted After Two People Shot Outside Tacoma Restaurant

Police are investigating what led up to these two males being shot, both are expected to recover.

Tacoma, WA: At around 3:31 p.m., Tacoma Police received several calls of a shooting in the 4100 block of South 56th at the Moctezumas Mexican Restaurant. When officers arrived, they found a male down suffered from at least one gunshot wound.

Tacoma Fire Medics arrived and transported the male to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries according to police. That subject also is said to be not cooperating with detectives regarding the incident.

Short time later, police received word of another shooting victim in the 6000 block of South Warner Street. According to police, a male flagged down a work crew stating he had been shot and needed help.

That victim was located and also transported to an area trauma center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Several shell casings were visible in the restaurants parking lot that is offering free meals to children while they are reduced to take out service only during the state wide mandate to help combat COVID-19.

A vehicle of interest was sealed with evidence tape and impounded by police as well.

Investigation is ongoing.
