Two Alarm Fire Send Residents Scrambling *Updated*

Fire crews call a second alarm, make aggressive stop on apartment fire

Kent, WA: crews with Puget Sound Fire Authority responded to the 22800 block of Benson Road for a reported apartment fire.

While responding crews could see a large smoke column and upgraded to a working fire. Crews called a second alarm due to concerns of it extending to the attic space and the size of the building.

Crews report no injuries to civilians or firefighters.

4 units were damaged and a total of 18 people displaced

Cause was determined to be unattended food on the stove and deemed accidental
