Two Men are Dead in Domestic Murder-Suicide Shooting in Unincorporated Tacoma

Pierce County Sheriff's Department confirms that this shooting resulted in two men being killed in a murder-suicide.

At 1:04 a.m. on Saturday April 25, 2020, deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting inside a residence in the 7500 block of Vickery Avenue East in the Waller area. The caller reported that her estranged husband had arrived at her boyfriend’s house and shot her boyfriend, then the suspect shot himself. Both men were deceased prior to our deputies arrival, and the investigation is being handled by our detectives and forensics.

The deceased victim is a 44 year old male who lived at the residence in Waller. The deceased suspect is a 40 year old male from Bremerton.

Tacoma, WA: Shortly after 1 a.m., Pierce County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to a residence in the 7500 block of Vickery Avenue East in Unincorporated Tacoma for reports of two shooting victims.

When deputies arrived, they located two men with fatal gunshot wounds in the living room of the residence.

Preliminary information from the Sheriff's Department Public Information Officer Detective Ed Troyer is that a the ex of a female that lived in the residence showed up and shot the new boyfriend of the female in the living room before turning the gun on himself. The female was not injured at all during the shooting.

A teenage female was also in the residence at the time and was uninjured and fled to a neighbor's home.

Detectives and forensics are responding to process the scene.
