As of around 9 p.m. State Patrol reported that the female driver was in custody for D.U.I and was not injured.
Public Information Officer Trooper Bryant states that the outcome is very fortunate given the impaired driving. He states it could have been much worse for the other motorists and general public on the lake.

Chelan, WA: Around 6:30 p.m., emergency crews with Chelan County Sheriff's Office and Chelan Fire Department responded to a report of an occupied vehicle driving off the road into Lake Chelan.
This occurred on State Route 150 at around milepost 4 right at the city limits to Chelan.
When crews arrived they found a vehicle in the water and a female, reported as the driver, on the side of the road after being pulled out by passing motorists.
According to witness Bob Wallace, they were traveling in the opposite lanes of the vehicle and were 100 yards away when they suddenly saw the vehicle leave the road and enter the water. Bob immediately stopped and jumped into the lake in attempt to get to the driver.
Bob was able to reach the female driver who was awake and able to get her to the shore. According to Bob, the female was possibly suffering a mental health crisis and possibly intentionally drove her vehicle into the lake.
Traffic on State Route 150 was affected for about 30 minutes as it was closed for emergency crews.
The Washington State Patrol is currently investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash and state the female was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
