*Updated* Schools Placed Into Lockdown During Manhunt for Armed Suspect

Images of the unidentified suspect who robbed the South Hill Fred Meyer customer service counter.
15 mins before the robbery, the armed suspect entered a nearby bank with a scarf covering his face. The tellers instructed the suspect to remove his scarf and he walked out.
Pierce County, WA:
At 11:06 a.m. this morning, Pierce County Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting an armed robbery at the customer service counter at the Fred Meyer store located on Meridian E. in South Hill. The suspect reportedly displayed a handgun and demanded cash, then fled the store on foot.
A K9 unit and multiple deputies searched for the suspect from the store into the Gem Heights and Silver Creek neighborhoods, but have not located the suspect. Nearby Carson Elementary School, Brouillet Elementary School, and Stahl Middle School were all temporarily placed on lockdown during the search. The lockdown was lifted at noon.
The suspect is described as a white or hispanic male wearing a blue bandana, a baseball hat, and a dark hoodie. The investigation is ongoing, and our detectives will be working to obtain surveillance video and identify the suspect.
