Kent, WA: Just before 11 p.m., emergency crews received numerous reports of a single vehicle collision in the area of Canyon Drive and East Smith Street in Kent.
When crews arrived, they found one vehicle on its side after striking a guardrail and the male driver was unable to exit on his own.
Crews with Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority worked quickly to hoist the male out of the vehicle. At one point the Jaws of Life were brought out as it was thought that crews might have to remove the roof of the vehicle.
The male was transported by a private ambulance to a local hospital in unknown condition.
Kent Police Department is investigating the cause of the collision.
At this time it is unknown if speed or alcohol played a role in this collision. The roadway was such down for over an hour leading to traffic and bus service delays.
