Drive-By Shooting Injures Male and Floods Apartment

Male shot in leg and apartment water main damaged after early morning shooting.

June 14th, 2019: At around 2:15 a.m., Houston Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 5300 block of West Gulf Bank Road. Residents that called 911 stated they heard between 9-15 gunshots and saw what appeared to be a male limping away from the complex on foot. When officers arrived at the complex, they found a single rifle casing on the ground, and the 25-year-old male who was shot in the foot was located across the street from the complex at a gas station. The male, that was shot, stated that he was walking through the complex with his friends and noticed a small silver SUV following him and his friends when gunfire started to come from that SUV striking the male in the foot. During the shooting, a bullet entered the apartment building striking a water main for the hot water tank. The hole in the pipe caused a substantial leak in the building. At this time, the silver SUV has not been located. Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to call Houston Police.
