Two People Shot While Police Responding to Suspicious Vehicle at Same Location


As of yet, no suspects are in custody.

SUGAR LAND, Texas — Police in Sugar Land are looking for two suspects who reportedly shot two victims in the Greatwood subdivision late Thursday.

Police and firefighters responded to Briarbend at Hearthside around 10:40 p.m.

One victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance while the other was airlifted.

Police taped off a car at the shooting scene and immediately began a search for the suspects in the area. It’s believed they ran away on foot.

So far no arrests have been announced in the case.

Police posted the following message to Facebook during the search:

"There is a heavy police presence in the Greatwood Subdivision including K-9 and helicopter assistance. Police Officers are searching for two shooting suspects who are on foot. Please stay indoors and report any suspicious activity immediately to the Sugar Land Police Department by calling 911."

The Sugar Land Police Department is expected to released more information about the shooting later in the day.
