Imitating Thomas Kinkade

lombardstreet

One of my goals when I traveled to San Francisco last year was to photograph the famous Lombard Street to make a photo duplicate of the famous Thomas Kinkade painting.

Wishful thinking, but I still think my photo is worthy of hanging. Here is Kinkade’s version.

For those of you unfamiliar with Lombard Street, it has earned the distinction of being the [“crookedest street in the world”](http://photographyisnotacrime.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/Lombard_Street_(San_Francisco%29) because it has eight sharp turns in a one-block radius down a one-way street.
