Louisiana Cop Arrested on 40 Counts of Sexually Abusing Animals and Recording it

A Louisiana cop was booked into jail on Wednesday on 40 counts related to sexually abusing animals and recording it.

Bossier City police officer Terry Yetman, 38, was arrested and charged on 20 counts of sexual abuse of animals by performing sexual acts with an animal as well as 20 counts of sex abuse of animals by recording sexual acts with an animal.

After receiving a tip in August, Louisiana State Police began an investigation into Yetman's activities with animals.

Police then obtained a warrant to search his electronics and found pornographic videos, which showed Yetman performing the acts before charging him with the crimes.

Officer Yetman won the Trey Hutchison award after being honored by the Caddo/Bossier Domestic Violence Task Force for his work helping domestic violence victims.

"To get an award after Trey Hutchison is a huge honor. Personally, I don’t think there is any other award that can make you feel better about doing your job," Yetman told the Bossier Press-Tribune after receiving the award.

Yetman has worked for numerous law enforcement agencies including one agency where he resigned amid an investigation into excessive force before being hired for the Bossier City Police Department in 2014.

He was booked into the Bossier Max Correctional Center where he is currently being held on a $350,000 bond.

An investigation, which may result in additional criminal charges, remains open.

At at least one of his previous jobs, Yetman previously worked as a K-9 handler, according to KTBS.

After the arrest, Louisiana Trooper Glenn Younger said the public should never fear reporting tips even if it's about some who works in law enforcement.

"Feel free to call us," Younger said.

"That's what we're here for. Your local police agency, that’s what we do. And unfortunately, sometimes it puts us in a situation where we have to see and learn things that people don’t want to talk about and don’t want to see and learn about. But that’s what we’re hired and paid to do. So, if you see something, say something."

The Louisiana State Police urges anyone who may have information about individuals engaged in this type of activity to call 318-741-2733 in order to report it.

Will he get a longer sentence than the on-duty cop who raped a woman?

Nothing wrong done here. He is a cop. Cops uphold the law. The laws are to prevent crimes. Cops are criminals. Rules often do not count to them. Cops are creeps with guns and power. Groups do not come more dangerous than that. Would call my neighbor or handle it myself before calling a cop. Call a cop, risk your life or freedom. No thanks.
